Overview

Abu Dhabi
Dubai, rising from the Arabian desert, is a modern and ambitious city. It has huge shopping malls, some of the tallest buildings, and the biggest man-made islands in the world. The weather is extremely hot in the summer, so the best time to visit is between November and January when the skies are clear, and the beach weather is perfect. If you haven’t been to Dubai yet, here are 10 reasons you should add it to your travel list.

Why Visit Abu Dhabi?
Abu Dhabi is known for its beautiful beaches, sunny weather, and stunning buildings, but there’s so much more to love. You can explore its rich history at cultural and historical sites, and enjoy the diverse landscapes of Al Dhafra and Al Ain. You can also time your visit to catch exciting events like the famous Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit. Here are six great reasons to choose Abu Dhabi for your next vacation.

  • Experience Emirati hospitality - We’re known for our warm hospitality, and you’ll feel it as soon as you arrive. Whether you’re checking into your hotel, dining, or meeting locals, you’ll always be welcomed with a friendly smile.
  • Uncover rich heritage -  In Abu Dhabi, we’re proud of our history and love sharing it with visitors. From the coast to the desert, you’ll find experiences that show you the city’s rich past. Take an ocean cruise to learn about its pearl diving history, or visit the oases in Al Ain to see ancient irrigation systems. In the city, you can explore the Qatar Al Watan Palace to discover the city’s history, and visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque to learn about Abu Dhabi’s connection to Islam and its cultural diversity.
  • Explore diverse nature - Abu Dhabi’s landscapes change from coastal beaches with mangrove forests to vast deserts with camels and towering dunes. A short drive east brings you to the oasis city of Al Ain, known for its ancient irrigation. Off the coast is Sir Bani Yas Island, a wildlife sanctuary home to animals like oryx, giraffes, and cheetahs, making it a must-visit spot.
  • Feel year-round sunshine - Abu Dhabi enjoys sunny weather year-round, with rare rainfall. In winter, the weather is perfect for outdoor activities like watersports, dune bashing, and camel riding. In summer, if it gets too hot, you can cool off at indoor theme parks, shopping malls, and museums.
  • Experience something unique - Abu Dhabi is full of exciting experiences. At Yas Island, you can skydive indoors in the world’s tallest flight chamber at CLYMB and ride the fastest rollercoaster at Ferrari World. You can also meet your favorite characters at the world’s largest indoor theme park, Warner Bros. World.
  • Witness unmissable moments - Check out Abu Dhabi’s calendar for amazing events you won’t want to miss! If you love sports, catch exciting matches at Etihad Arena, golf at Yas Links, or the Formula 1® finale at Yas Marina Circuit. Big music stars like Beyonce, Lewis Capaldi, and Kanye West have performed here too! Browse the calendar to see all the upcoming sports, cultural, and music events.
